What part of the atom is represented in the clip below?!
Electrons travels so fast that if they were free they would go around the earth in 18 seconds,
Sydney to New York in a little over 7 seconds and Sydney to Perth 1.5 seconds!!!!!
Please watch this youtube video- it is a great little summary of atoms ❤️

A flame test can work to identify the metal ion (a charged particle) in a solution. The chemical compound (X Chloride) is heated and a coloured flame is made.
It can be deduced which metal ion is in the solution according to the colour released
when the solution is heated in a blue flame.
The colours are made when the valence electrons gain energy from the flame and move up from 'ground state' to the next energy level. They are said to be in an 'excited state' at this point. Shortly after, they will move back down to their original position ("ground state" again) and as they do this they release energy. This energy emission is seen as coloured light.
